This site is dedicated to X the TV series. X is a long
running manga series created by the four talented ladies
know as "CLAMP". In addition to the manga, there
has been X The Movie (which IMHO had beautiful animation
but a very disappointing and rushed storyline) and now
there is X the TV series.
X TV is a 24 episode series which premiered in Japan
in October of 2001 and wrapped up in March 2002. In addition
to the 24 tv episodes, there is a short OVA that is a
prequel to the tv series called X "An Omen".
X TV has been acquired by Pioneer and will be released
in the U.S. starting in September 2002 with the X OVA
Episode 0 ("An Omen").
This site is strictly for X TV because
I thought it was an excellent series and I wanted to encourage
people (especially those turned off of X by the movie)
to give the tv series a try. X TV goes into much greater
detail and depth than the movie. The series does a great
job introducing each of the characters in X who will be
involved in the battle between the Dragon of Heaven and
the Dragon of Earth which will ultimately decide the fate
of the world. The tv series for the most part, follows
the manga which is much further along now than it was
when X The Movie was animated. Because the manga story
is further along, much of what happens in X TV is different
from X The Movie so you don't feel like you are watching
the same story twice. More details about X TV series can

Okay, this really isn't a site update,
but I don't have a "news" section. The first
U.S. volume of X TV will be released on dvd on 9/24/02.
The dvd will be sold as a single volume, or you can purchase
Vol. 1 with a collector's box to store your X dvds. X
TV Vol. 1 will contain the prelude Episode 0 OVA and
episodes 1-3. Also, for a limited time, the dvd will contain
a printed character guide. Not a bad deal, huh? You can
preorder you X dvd or X dvd + box right now at Planet
Anime. There is a banner for them in the Misc. section
under "links". Just click on the banner to go
to the Planet Anime homepage.
